Mechanical
A modern classic means modern fuel-injected power and that is what
our Z28 has with the top-of-the-line factory original 350
cubic-inch V8 LT1 engine derived from the Corvette. The LT1 motor
was rated at 285 horsepower for this Z/28 and looks all original
with its fuel injection fed by the factory cool-air cleaner system,
fuel rail covers, factory exhaust system leading back to the dual
exhaust system, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, and
backed by the 6-speed manual transmission.
The car is fun to drive, and it's very light and on point. It
steers precisely, and it can hold its own on rougher roads. It also
does well on surfaces like snow, and the car doesn't ask for too
much maintenance or service. The Z28 SS is meant to be driven to
the max and lasts longer than most vintage muscle cars.
This Z/28 SS Camaro convertible was made for driving with
four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, ABS, and the black sidewall
tires on the factory alloy wheels.
Interior
Part of what gives this car its timeless elegance is the terrific
color combo of the grey interior and the black convertible top. It
has a loaded interior finished with tan high-back supportive bucket
seats that are very comfortable, a matching rear seat, factory dash
with all the original gauges and controls, power driver's seat,
power locks, keyless entry, dual airbags, cruise control, tilt
wheel, and AM/FM/ stereo.
Plus, with power windows and a power convertible top, you never
have to leave the driver's seat to go from enclosed comfort to a
wind-in-your-hair experience. And thanks to factory air
conditioning, you can enjoy top-down motoring long into the summer
season.
The designers branded Z28 SS to the floor mats, and they wrapped
leather around the steering wheel frame.
Exterior
Our 1996 is a modern classic, painted in the original Factory
Medium Teal Metallic that will continue to look timeless with the
shiny paint rolling nicely over straight panels and it has the Z28
emblems, rear spoiler, and great sounds coming from the dual
exhaust.
It is a powerful, sleek looking, and top-down cruiser with fog
lights, a composite hood with functional cold air induction that
will provide a lot of fun in and has never been so affordable.
Conclusion
The 1996 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 SS SLP Convertible we have here at

right, very fast, great at handling, and will attract attention
wherever you drive it, and it is only 1 of 7 in the world ever made
