This 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 has always had one of the coolest
cruiser images around, now there's a fresh crate V8 under the hood
to really let you enjoy it all.
The factory-correct Dark Claret is a great color to have. It's a
one-year color with a boldness like red, but there's also a deeper
and more sophisticated tone. The paint was resprayed later in life,
and the finish retains a good gloss while also never getting too
fancy to make you shy away from driving this one. It's unknown if
the five-digit odometer represents the full actual mileage, but we
are told this is a two-owner car, and so the body has that tight
look of good respect. There is a striking style with a triple-gold
stripe package that's a well-coordinated piece for this total
package. It sets the tone right for a proper Z28. Plus, you have
the sporty details like the chin spoiler that wraps around the
wheel openings, a power dome hood, fender vents, and the
three-piece spoiler out back. And the 15-inch wheels are even
color-matched for that added look of a cool classic.
The tan interior is tasteful against the dark claret exterior. It
all appears quite stock, complete, and comfortable. If you're
looking for a perfect cruiser then you can add a stereo, restore
the R134a air conditioning, or some other personal preference
details. But what we really appreciate is the driver-focused
feeling this one has from day one. There are high back front bucket
seats with a center console in between, and there's a tilt column
for the NK4 sports steering wheel with a special corded grip.
These Z-cars originally had a 350 cubic-inch V8. Those had good
power for their era, but we also were able to do more with time and
progress. So this one keeps the same displacement but upgrades it
to a fresh crate motor installed only about 400 miles ago. It also
inhales deeper with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and makes a
nice tune out of the dual exhaust. It's a strong runner, and it's
also a good driver thanks to features like the three-speed
automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs,
and wide Cooper Cobra tires.
This is a distinct classic that also loves to drive. So it's the V8
coupe you need to get your hands on right now. Call today!!!
