Car History
We have a very popular muscle car here with our pretty and restored
1965 Pontiac GTO tribute convertible here at Adventure
Classics.
It is finished in red with a white convertible top over a bright
red interior and power comes from a YH code 421 cubic inch V8 with
a four barrel carb paired with an automatic transmission.
Engine & Drivetrain
The 421 cubic inch V8 engine is equipped with a four-barrel
carburetor setup as well as the iconic ram air package that mated
it to the underside of the hood.
It looks just as it did when it left the showroom with its Pontiac
blue painted block heads, and intake, chrome valve covers, factory
cast iron exhaust manifolds, power steering, power brakes, Vintage
Air Conditioning, with all the other factory appearing stock in the
clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via an automatic transmission and
it rides on great period 5-spoke chrome mag wheels and black
sidewall tires at all four corners.
Interior
The factory twin front bucket seats are trimmed in red vinyl with
matching rear seat, red carpets, red door panels, red seatbelts,
red floor mats, red dash with the instrument panels holding all the
factory gauges and a vacuum gauge on the console.
It has the correct factory center console with chrome trim housing
the automatic chrome shifter, a pushbutton radio in the dash, and
wood steering wheel.
Exterior
Our GTO has the slick appealing red paint that looks very sharp. It
has all the great styling cues of the 1965 GTO including twin
headlights, the styled taillight covers, bumper-mounted reverse
lights, chrome bumpers, GTO badges, and the iconic GTO hood
scoop.
Handling is great as you could expect from this GTO and the white
convertible top looks amazing either up or down.
Conclusion
The good looking 1965 Pontiac GTO Tribute convertible we have here
at Adventure Classics is a super looking and running GTO with all
the right looks and sounds.
THE GREAT ONE, the 1965 Pontiac GTO Tribute is a must for any
