Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to present our newest arrival - this 1966
Ford Mustang Coupe. Dressed in bright red driver quality paint this
Pony really catches your eye. The red is accented by nice chrome
bumpers, grill, drip rail molding, and rocker cover. The 289 and
Mustang emblems look great on both sides as do the rear panel
"vent"ornaments. Just above the rocker panel on each side are black
stripes with Mustang lettering that adds to the sporty appearance.
Around back you'll find a nice OEM Mustang Gas cap, chrome bumper,
back-up lights, and chrome exhaust tips. This Mustang has a great
stance as it sits upon its Cragar SS wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich
Radial TA's. Under the hood is a nice clean engine bay housing a
289 V-8 with an Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor. The carb
is topped off with a hipo-style chrome air cleaner with a "running
horse" wing nut on top. Chrome valve covers add a little extra
sparkle to the engine. You'll also notice while under the hood that
this Mustang has power steering, power brakes (4-wheel drums), and
a newer Champion radiator to keep things cool. The 289 is mated to
a C-4 Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts
smoothly as it should. When you open the door you're greeted by a
nice black vinyl interior with working courtesy lights. The bucket
seats as well as the rear seat are in very good condition with no
rips or tears and very little sign of wear. There is an aftermarket
center armrest with cup-holders and storage box between the seats
and the shifter for the automatic is just ahead on the floor. The
door panels, kick panels, and rear side panels are all in good
condition and the vinyl headliner is nice and tight. The black
carpet is in good condition and is topped with carpeted Mustang
logo floor mats. The driver is treated to a nice OEM steering wheel
with working horn. The dash is crack free and in good condition.
The dash appears original and shows 50,638 actual miles on the
odometer. The oil pressure and temp gauges are in-op, but the rest
of the dash components are functional including the wipers, fan,
and heater. There is a Retrosound-style AM/FM/Cassette Stereo
hooked up to 2 6X9's on the rear package tray to provide some
cruisin tunes. Also in the dash is a glove-box with a Mustang
emblem and an emergency flasher switch inside. Back in the trunk
you'll find a nice plaid vinyl mat, a spare tire covered in the
same mat material, and a small bag (also plaid) containing a jack -
a nice touch. Also in the trunk is a notebook created by the owner
of the car from 2013-2019 that contains receipts for work done,
information about the car, some photos, and a detailed list of all
of their road trips and shows they enjoyed in the car - a very cool
piece of memorabilia to stay with the car for year to come. If
you're looking for a cool first gen Mustang that you can hop in and
drive anywhere without breaking the bank then this pony deserves
serious consideration! Don't wait long to call about this one, it's
sure to be snatched up quickly!
