about the Honda Tri-Magnum: The Honda Tri-Magnum was a
three-wheeled vehicle designed by Jim Bede and produced by Honda in
1981. It was a hybrid vehicle that combined a motorcycle engine
with a car-like body. The Tri-Magnum was powered by a 1,000 cc
Honda Gold Wing motorcycle engine, which produced 85 horsepower. It
had a fiberglass body and a tubular steel frame, which made it
lightweight and aerodynamic. The vehicle could seat two passengers,
with the driver sitting in a centrally located position. One of the
unique features of the Tri-Magnum was its three-wheel
configuration, with two wheels in the front and one in the rear.
This design provided excellent stability and handling, while also
allowing the vehicle to achieve high speeds. The Tri-Magnum was
also designed to be fuel-efficient, with a reported mileage of up
to 50 miles per gallon. It was capable of reaching a top speed of
around 120 miles per hour. Although the Tri-Magnum was never put
into full-scale production, it remains a notable example of
innovative automotive design. Its unique hybrid powertrain and
three-wheel configuration were ahead of their time, and have since
influenced the development of other unconventional vehicles.
