Vehicle Description
What we've got here really is unique! On the lot now is a rare 1957
Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner, a true survivor of a car complete with
the signature beautifully-working power retractable hardtop and
what is possibly the original paint! Powered by a 312 C.I.
"Thunderbird Special" V8 breathing through a 4-barrel carburetor,
this '57 Skyline puts out 245hp, perfect for smooth cruising. That
power gets to the rear end through a 2-speed automatic
transmission, shifted right on the column. This Skyline features a
paintjob which could possibly be original, or it could have been
restored a long time ago. Either way, it's got some scuffs around
the sides, but overall, the patina really just adds to the unique
character of this car! The retractable hardtop works wonderfully,
allowing you to have that convertible feeling with the durability
of a hardtop. The interior is near-completely original, with
comfortable two-tone green bench seats front and rear. The
undercarriage and floors are rock-solid, with chrome trim and
bodylines that are very straight. Options fitted to this fantastic
old Ford include power steering, power brakes, a power retractable
hardtop (that works great!), a heater + defroster, a nearly
original interior, vent windows, a maneuverable spotlight,
seatbelts, and a nice-sounding dual exhaust system. This '57 Ford
runs and drives just fantastic, cruising down the road at speed
effortlessly. All said, if you're looking to find a beautiful old
Ford that combines that classic convertible feeling with true '50s
Detroit style, then this is your chance to drive it home.
