Possibly more so than any other early Chevrolets. The '38 is an all
steel body and fenders. The hood and side panels are glass. The top
has been brought down 4 inches to give it some attitude. Factor in
minor adjustments like the lowered front fender ride height, the
raked hood, custom removeable side panels, and a fully rounded rear
pan. One of a kind custom '38!
Fully updated frame with a Mustang II front end with 450 pds front
springs. This beauty has a comfortable ride thanks to the modern
upgrades to the frame and suspension. Every inch of the '38 shows
this is a PRO build from the stunning body work to the clean
looking engine compartment all the wires have been hidden. Even the
fire wall has been smoothed! Power comes from a Big Block 454ci V-8
with a 650 cfm carburetor and a mild "Thumper" cam. Spark is from a
HEI distributor. Dual exhaust starts with the block huggers that
feed in to the 2.5 inch pipes. This '38 has a great growl. The
454ci is matted to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and a 12 bolt
GM rear end 3.55 gear. This is the perfect set-up for HWY cruising.
A Walker radiator with a fully shrouded mechanical fan keeps the
'38 cool under any driving condition. Speaking of keeping cool the
A/C is just what is needed on those road trips. The Weld Racing
wheels make this '38 pop!
Power front disc brakes and rear drums get the job done. Power
steering makes driving a breeze. Power front windows and yes, the
rear windows roll down. Where to start on the custom interior;
Dakota digital gauges, Tilt steering wheel, Billet Specialties
steering wheel, center console with cup holders this is just the
start! Custom molded door panels front/rear and molded trunk hood
