For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

This is a real 138 code Super Sport, factory Marina Blue and has factory air! Ground up restored.

EXTERIOR: I believe it has clean original metal. I didn't see any splices in the 1/4s, bottom door lips are clean. It is laser straight, no rust, bubbles, or damage. Repainted its original Marina blue color. The paint is laid out evenly and has a clear coat that's polished like glass. Only a few minor imperfections you would have to look for. Overall, the chrome and trim are excellent. The rear bumper has a few flaws. It also has optional bumper guards and bow tie mirrors. The jambs are painted really nice; weatherstrips were replaced. New windshield. Reproduction Wide Oval redlines tires wrap around 14x7 rally wheels.

INTERIOR: It looks new from carpet to headliner. I'm sitting in it looking at a beautifully restored dash. It has the factory in dash gauges and a "blinker" tachometer. The trim, knobs, vents, glovebox liner, steering wheel have been replaced. Upgraded retro stereo looks like the original. I like the bench seat; you can sit close to your sweetie. New reproduction upholstery. Door panels, armrests, window cranks and handles have all been replaced. The headliner, visors and mirror were replaced. Carpet was replaced, it has seatbelts front and back.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's a correct 1967 396-325 hp motor, high performance is cast on the block. It's all stock except for an aluminum intake and Holley carb. New chrome valve covers and air cleaner. The alternator looks new. It features factory air conditioning which has been rebuilt and updated to 134 freon. Correct power steering with the remote reservoir, it also has power brakes. It is very complete and proper: squirters are hooked up, it even has the glass bottle with extra fluid. It has the correct fan shroud and hose clamps. It has hood insulation, the horns work etc. All the metal surfaces are painted very nicely. Under the hood and jamb are glossy.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are glossy. It has new weatherstrip and decal. In the trunk compartment is very clean metal with a neat spatter finish paint. Reproduction mat. It also has a reproduction tire and a rally wheel for a spare. There is a complete jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: The front-end steering and suspension has been rebuilt. It has air shocks in the back. The brakes have been rebuilt, disc in front, E-brake assembly is hooked up. The dual exhaust has Flowmaster mufflers. Fuel tank has been replaced. Looking up at the motor it's clean Chevy Orange, starter looks fresh. Correct Powerglide automatic trans, 12 bolt rear end. The floors, rockers, braces appear to be very clean original metal.

Service: We inspected the car and repaired the following: adjusted the carb and timing, fixed reverse light switch, calibrated the speedometer, repaired wiper switch, secured oil pressure line, repositioned the exhaust.

I have the impression this has always been a clean, solid car. It's very well restored throughout. Great list of factory options!
