2006 Ford F350 4x4 Crew Cab Dually
This is the pickup for the contractor with a heavy trailer,
retirees with a fifth-wheel camper, the sportsman with a big
fishing boat or the farmer hauling livestock. One could even mount
a variety of cargo bodies on the back instead of the pickup bed and
haul, haul, haul anything in sight. With a towing capacity of
15,000 pounds and heavy-duty components everywhere we could do
massive amounts of work with this truck, or we could have massive
amounts of fun if that be our goal.
For consignment, a powerful 6.0 Liter turbo diesel with ARP studded
heads and a bulletproof EGR cooler making it nearly indestructible.
This 2006 F350 4x4 crew cab duallyis all stock,never being chipped
or tuned so you can rest assured this bigrig hasn't been beaten on

amenitiesand plenty of creature comforts, think of an

Exterior
Big steel slabs line up perfectly to produce the look of this
truck. All these panels are bathed in Oxford White with silver
accenting on the lower body, which is the original paint. The
supersized front grille in chrome has stacked jewel effect lights
on either side and an integrated bumper also in chrome and white
below. It's a crew cab version so there is an additional access
door just behind the main doors for entry to the rear seats. Dark
tinted glass is all around, and some black accents, (trim, handles,
badges), contrast nicely with the white. A chrome step up running
board allows for easier access to the cab. On the back for the
flared side bed to accommodate the dual rear wheel setup, the extra
fenders are seen dressed with FX4 decals,a nifty factory upgrade.
The sides of the truck are all excellent on the paint front and for
the inside, a Ford drop in plastic liner is present and showing
little abuse. Tall tail lights flank the all white tailgate and
below is a nearperfect chrome bumper with factory park assist
sensors and a 15,000lb receiver. 17-inch polished wheels are on the
fronts with 8 lugs just like the big rigs, and the polished rear
wheels have a deep inset to accommodate the dual rear tires and
also have 8 lugs.
Interior
Swinging any of the 4 doors reveals some wood grain applique panels
along with durable molded smooth vinyl in light gray with the
armrests covered in black and have the power window toggles in
them. The front doors are slightly larger than the rears and have
more molded storage bins. Inside, overstuffed high back leather
buckets are in gray and have a stitched Lariat embroidery in the
upper backs just below the headrests. These seats have multiple
power adjustments on their outside bolsters and for those who enjoy
their buns toasted,both front seats are equipped with heaters. A
fold down armrest on the insides of the chairs flank a wood topped
console which has cupholders and plenty of storage. Moving upfront
a wood applique lacquered dash is the background for the temp
sliders, vents, and a few turns knobs and pulls. Also, a powerful
AM/FM/6 CD stereo sends tunes to the factory speakers strategically
positioned throughout the cab. Just below the stereo is the factory
Tow Command system along with upfitter switches, also factory Ford.
In back a gray leather bench with a fold down armrest in the center
can accommodate 3 easily with the armrest in the up position. Gray
carpeting floods the floors and is very clean, highlighting the
power adjustablepedals. A light gray headliner hovers tightly above
and frames the power moonroof.
Drivetrain
A 6.0-liter V8 turbo diesel engine is within the clean engine bay.
Some slight patina but all looking good under this hood. This
clacker has been treated to ARP head studs and a bulletproof EGR
cooler for years of trouble free hauling and towing. It has EFI and
a 5R110W Torqshift 5-speed automatic on the back with a 4.10 geared
axles.
Undercarriage
A light patina overall with some slight surface rust here and there
but certainly nothing remarkable. The front suspension is
independent twin I-beam and coil spring, and the rear is leaf
sprung helping this truck attain its 14,000 maximum GVWR. We note
the factory exhaust and all emissions equipment remaining intact as
well as power disc brakes on all 4 corners. The underpinnings of a
trailer hitch kit are on, and it's all HD stuff!
Drive-Ability
A climb inside and we were off like a prom dress! Diesel power
courses through your body when you press this accelerator, as well
as the truck's drivetrain. Solid power acceleration, good handling,
and a smooth ride with good braking.
You can pull anything with this truck, and you could even get a
different rear configuration in lieu of the bed. 15,000 pounds is a
lot of trailers, with a lot of whatever is in it. All in Oxford
White, bulletproofed, and a low low 1 owner miles. A comfy interior
with plenty of the amenities, ready to go have some fun or go to
