Vehicle Description
1996 Porsche 911 (993) Carrera Targa
This 1996 Porsche 911 (993) Carrera Targa, one of only 462 U.S.
examples sold in its inaugural year, combines the sensuous looks of
the 993 with the newly-designed Targa roof mechanism that replaced
the folding fabric notched look of previous generations. Its black
exterior, together with a beautifully personalized black leather
interior, exhibits a stealthy demeanor. Recent service work
includes new Brembo brakes, Zimmermann cross-drilled rotors, new
brake hoses, new Pirelli P-Zero Rosso Tires, replacement of both
engine lid struts and hood struts, replacement of shifter guide
rod, ball socket and support bushings, installation of steering
rack boots and front sway bar links, new Bilstein shocks, new rear
suspension arms, and the installation of a front bumper protection
bar. Fastidiously maintained, both mechanically and cosmetically,
this 6-speed Porsche, with less than 109k miles on the odometer, is
ready for its next owner.
Its non-metallic black exterior is complemented by lightweight
factory Porsche Turbo Twist wheels (18" x 8" Front and 18" x 10"
Rear) with painted center caps, red 6-piston calipers, HID
headlights, speed-sensitive split rear spoiler, rear bar with
integrated brake light, reflective red panel between the rear
taillights, the dual exhaust has been upgraded to a Fister Stage II
exhaust system beneath the rear bumper, and the large sliding glass
Targa panel that drops down and then under the fixed rear window
electronically.
The black leather interior of this Targa features custom touches
including an upgraded center console switch panel with LED
lighting, newly reupholstered front (power-adjustable) and rear
seats and door panels, red seat belts, and carbon fiber touches by

a 6-speed manual transmission directing power to the rear wheels,
this 993 reportedly achieves 0-60 MPH times of under 6 seconds. The
top end of the engine has been rebuilt with a new clutch and this
993 runs phenomenal. The sale of this 1996 Porsche 911 (993)
