Vehicle Description
This one-owner 1978 VW Super Beetle convertible is powered by a
fuel-injected 1600cc 4-cylinder engine mated to a 4-speed manual
transmission. The upholstery was refreshed in 2021 and it has
one-inch whitewall tires from Coker, just like when it was new. It
was purchased in Cleveland, OH, but spent most of its life in
Florida, California and North Carolina. It has always been garaged
and has its original top, which is not up very often. It has a
radio from 1990, but the original Motorola AM radio is included.
This car was refurbished by Classic Restorations in Apex, NC. The
sale comes with the retail buyer's order, Window Sticker,
installment loan and original odometer statements, owner's manual,
warranty book, maintenance book and maintenance records. It has VW
factory air conditioning installed by a dealer in Miami; it does
not work well. The fuel gauge is not working and there is a slight
blemish on the rear lid where the air conditioning compressor wheel
