This is a #s matching motor, trans, and color 2 top, 350 hp
roadster! Only 87,771 actual miles. Unabused, looks like a no-hit
body. I bought this and 3 other cars from a local collector. He
prided himself on the thorough maintenance he keeps up with on his
cars.
EXTERIOR: The body is in excellent shape, about as nice as I've
seen. It looks like a no-hit car. I didn't see any damage or
cracking. It all fits extremely well, especially around the wiper
door. It was repainted one time in its original Mulsanne Blue
color. The jambs are still original paint in nice shape. It
presents itself very nicely, it's glossy and laid out evenly. There
are minor imperfections if you look for them. The front-end grill
and chrome looks good and lines up nicely. It still has the weather
shields protecting the headlights. The head light doors and wiper
door work very well. The back bumpers have been rechromed. It has
its original antenna. Good original windshield and weatherstrips.
It is a 2 topper! The white convertible top does have a couple
tears, look at picture 36. The hardtop is painted blue, and the
headliner is excellent. Correct 15x8 rally wheels, the trim is
sparkling new.
INTERIOR: It is very tidy and unabused inside. Genuine leather
upholstery is in excellent shape. It has leather armrest too. The
door panels are excellent. Carpet is good, slightly faded in
places. The center console and dash area are excellent. It has the
correct 4-speed with the reverse lock out shifter. It also has a
tilt-telescopic steering wheel. A retro stereo fits right in the
factory location, it also has an amp. New speakers in the dash,
boxed 6x9 speakers are sitting in back. It cones with an owner's
manual.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is a Vin number matching, original 350 motor
with the optional 350 horsepower. Stock manifolds, carb, valve
covers, air cleaner and ignition shielding. It features power
steering and power brakes. It is not overly detailed, but it all
looks clean and proper. The carb was professionally restored,
heater core was replaced.
UNDERSIDE: It is well maintained and proper. Solid frame. The
fiberglass floors are not damaged. It has the complete spare tire
carrier. Upfront it looks like it has fresh swaybar end links,
shocks, and pitman arm. The steering box was rebuilt. Correct
factory type optional off road exhaust with the square tips going
through the valance. Disc brakes at all 4 wheels, e-brake assembly
is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it's clean. It has the lower
ignition shielding, fresh fuel pump and starter. The transmission
was just out of the car and gone through. It is the original Vin #
matching M-20 Muncie 4-speed trans. U-joints were replaced, and the
driveshaft was balanced. Correct 3.36 posi rear.
Not perfect but it is a really nice, unabused Corvette. Very sound
investment being # matching with desirable features!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
