Vehicle Description
This 1971 Ford F-250 Custom has the right classic truck style. It's
an older restoration that gives you a clean but mature look that is
ideal when you want something to cruise distinctively on the
weekends. And since this also has V8 power and is an extra-duty
F-250, those jaunts can also include the Sunday chores.
There's a true charm to this truck. It has spent the last 31 years
under the same owner, and a restoration was done about 17 years
ago. Since then, it has spent more time under a cover in a garage
than it ever was out on the road. Today that gives it an
interesting style where it looks good but mature. So most people
will assume you have a respected survivor (and you don't even have
to pay us extra to keep your secret.) This one stays faithful to
the stock style everywhere the factory hubcaps to the full-length
trim dividing the two-tone red and white. We don't see this as a
pure workman because it has the right look of earned/aged respect.
But you also can't help but think of what you can do when you have
an extra-duty F-250. This even has large towing mirrors, a diamond
plate rear step bumper, and a versatile long bed with full liner
paint protecting it.
The distinctive red interior follows the same feeling as the
exterior. It's a nice older refresh stuck to such a stock feeling
that as it has aged, it just gives a good survivor impression. So
the bench seat, door panels, and carpeting have some worn-in style
but are not worn out - and that's charming to many of us. After
all, you still get old-school breezes with the side vent windows
and sliding rear glass, creating a nice flow through the cab. And
to make the trips a little nicer, there are a few well-placed
additions. The upgraded steering wheel has a nice grip, and the
AM/FM/CD stereo with updated speakers means better-driving
music.
The Ford's 360 cubic-inch V8 is a terrific motor, and this one has
the same look of restored honesty we've seen through the rest of
this truck. It's even believed to have an older rebuild, and this
one has a hardy nature to suggest good care. Part of the old-school
charm is the old-school feeling it gives you from the drive. But
details like the power brakes, twin-I-beam front suspension, and
the F-250's long wheelbase make for a nice classic cruiser. You
even get proper control over the motor with a four-speed manual
transmission that gives you plenty of instant torque in the low
first gear.
Complete with the owner's manual. This F-250 has a workman kind of
honesty that makes for an irresistible pickup - especially at this
value price. Call now!
