This is an excellent opportunity to own a very rare and highly
desirable classic Lincoln. Only 3,676 Premiere Convertibles were
made for 1957. The market on 1950's Lincolns is hot right now,
especially for premium examples like this car. One could easily buy
this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years
to come. There is no way someone could purchase a similar Lincoln
and restore it to this level of quality for anything near our
asking price. Please peruse all of the photos, video, and other
information below to get a true sense of how exceptionally nice
this Lincoln really is.
As a side note, this Premiere Convertible is not a dealer auction
vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our
Classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone
that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did.
We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have
the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture.
We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Lincoln, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Taos Turquoise exterior is in fantastic condition. As one can
see in the photos the finish has dazzling gloss, deep shine, and
smooth finish. The wheels and center caps are in excellent
condition with a nice finish and no curb rash. The Goodyear wide
whitewall tires are sized 235/75R15 and have been used minimally
since the restoration. Please note that the tires have the correct
vintage and period correct look, but they are radials for a much
better driving experience. The chrome looks spectacular and has a
brilliant finish. The soft-top is in brand new condition with no
stain, rips, holes, or frayed edges. The top itself operates and
power top functions and closes with a hand from the operator; the
latches can be finicky. The operation of the power top going up can
be viewed in the video. As one can see in the many photos of the
underside, this Lincoln is totally solid with absolutely no rust;
the bottom of the car is very clean.
This Premiere looks just as good in person as it does in the
photos.
Interior
The tan interior of the Lincoln looks splendid. The seats are in
excellent condition with no split seams, rips, or excessive wear.
The carpet is also in great condition with no stains, rips, or
holes. The interior chrome and bright work is in great shape. The
dash is in terrific condition with no cracks, fading, or sun
damage. The original AM radio works and most importantly the dash
has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. The
door panels look excellent. This car has not been smoked in; there
are obviously no burn marks or aroma of cigarettes
what-so-ever.
The trunk is very clean, highly detailed, well-trimmed, and has the
matching full size spare tire and matching rim.
The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the
photos.
Mechanical
This Lincoln Premiere seems to be in good mechanical condition. The
368ci V8 engine starts every time, runs well, and idles smooth. The
car drives nicely and just floats down the road. In the video below
one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about
70mph, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please
note that there are no vibrations and the car performs quite well
overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The
transmission shifts smoothly throughout the power band. Also, the
engine compartment is beautifully clean, detailed, and correct as
one can see in the photos with the correct and original air cleaner
and valve covers. The headlights work as do the brights, interior
lights, power top, and temp gauge, gen light, indicators, and
defroster; even the clock still runs. The car must in in neutral to
start it or operate the power top. There are a few items not
functional such as the horn, temp and air controls, wipers, power
antenna, and left front turn signal. The engine, transmission, and
drivetrain were not rebuilt during the restoration, but one can see
and hear how everything functions in the video. Not enough can be
said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this Lincoln,
especially with the top down on a beautiful day.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1957 Lincoln Premiere Convertible is in marvelous
condition. This is truly an investment grade classic. As stated
above, there is absolutely no way someone could restore a Lincoln
to anywhere near this level for any amount near our asking
price.
The excellent restoration, the great attention to detail, and the
beautiful color combination make this car especially important and
difficult to duplicate. This Lincoln always gets a ton of attention
driving down the road. It is very apparent that the vehicle has
been well taken care of by its previous owners. One could easily
enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the
purchase price with minimal effort.
Thank you for looking and please email or call with any
