This 1976 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is the recipient of a frame-off
rotisserie restoration. It is powered by a matching-numbers factory
455ci V8 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The 455
(WX code) was rebuilt from top to bottom. The BorgWarner Super 10
transmission was fully rebuilt, along with the rear axle, which
houses a new Auburn posi-traction unit and a 3.23 Richmond gear.
Stopping power is provided by disc brakes. The subframe and
suspension were powder-coated Gunmetal Gray and most nuts and bolts
were replaced with stainless Poly Performance bushings throughout,
with a new stainless fuel and brake line routed through the
chassis. Stopping power comes from 4-wheel power disc brakes. It is
finished in a black 2-stage paint over a new interior that features
a new scalloped dash, new gauges, power steering and factory air
conditioning. This vehicle comes with a complete breakdown of new
engine components and machine work that was involved, PHS
paperwork, original Bill of Sale, original Build Sheet, tag
receipts, bank records, cancelled checks and insurance forms.
