Vehicle Description
This one-owner 1978 Datsun 280Z is powered by the original
2.8-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel
injection mated to the original 4-speed manual transmission. To
prepare the Z to be sold after long-term storage, a full fuel
system overhaul was performed. The fuel tank was dropped and
cleaned, and a new fuel pump and fuel injectors were installed.
Other items addressed include a new battery, brake master cylinder,
clutch pump and four new tires mounted on the original wheels. This
Z also features power brakes and rack & pinion steering. This
unrestored survivor exterior is finished in Sun Yellow with black
stripes, and the frame rails and floors are original with light
undercoating. The interior is all original, including the dashboard
showing no cracks, original door cards and headliner. All factory
gauges work, including the clock, and it even retains the factory
radio with a power antenna. Rolling on the original Z
magnesium-optioned 14-inch wheels. The sale includes the original
Window Sticker totaling $8,067, original owner's manual, owner's
registration from May 1978 and the original keys. With 34,092
actual miles.
