Vehicle Description
This 1968 Pontiac GTO custom coupe recreation is powered by a
supercharged LS1 engine paired with a 4L80E 4-speed automatic
transmission that pushes 550hp and nearly 600 ft/lbs of torque. It
is equipped with a Stage 2 cam kit from Brian Tooley, including a
camshaft, LS7 lifters, valve springs, hardened pushrods, gaskets
top and bottom, Melling high-volume oil pump, billet timing chain
and ARP hardware throughout. The engine is complemented by a Holley
front accessory drive and ATI harmonic balancer. This Stage 3
transmission rebuild is equipped to handle 1,000hp and includes
upgraded intermediate band, 34 element sprag, stator support
bushing and a heavy-duty forward clutch kit. A TransGo shift kit
was installed with the idea for a mild shift bump through gears. It
features a Hotchkis tubular suspension front and back with
heavy-duty sway bars dressed in black. Complementing the
aftermarket suspension is a Currie Ford 9-inch rear axle with a
3.70 rear gear, posi-traction and Wilwood 4-piston brakes. The
front brake system is a large 6-piston kit from Wilwood. The wheel
and tire package consists of custom-spec staggered Forgeline wheels
that house large 13-inch rims, with all four wrapped in Michelin
Pilot Sport tires. The interior includes factory vinyl bucket
seats, B&M ratchet shifter, Dakota Digital gauges, carbon-fiber
dash accents, a Vintage Air system and Bluetooth-compatible
RetroSound display. Modern amenities include power windows and a
complete security system with Bluetooth stereo.
