Vehicle Description
This 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SL roadster has undergone a full and
comprehensive restoration using original or remanufactured parts.
The restoration and rebuild of the matching-numbers 2.8-liter
6-cylinder engine included all new pistons, bushings, valve guides
and valves. This roadster received reconditioned or remanufactured
parts, including the distributor, injection pump, new injector
nozzles and new engine mounts. It also received an all-new engine
timing chain with new sprockets and a remanufactured fuel pump,
with all-original Mercedes-Benz parts used in the engine. This
Mercedes features all-new steering components, new brakes,
suspension, cardan bushing, new cardan couplings and all-new tires.
The original interior is equipped with new carpeting using the
original material, fully reconditioned instruments, all-new thermal
insulation with original material and the window lifters have been
reconditioned to new. Additionally, it features a remanufactured
air conditioner, along with heating and ventilation with a new
