Vehicle Description
1991 Nissan Figaro
VIN: FK10010333
"Cuter than a basket of puppies" - Larry Printz, Hagerty
"Debuting at the 28th Tokyo Motor Show in 1989, under the theme
"Back to the Future," Nissan launched Figaro sales in Japan on Feb.
14, 1991. Limited to 20,000 units, Nissan officials expected demand
to outstrip supply. They were right. Figaros were delivered, using
a lottery system, in three allotments: an initial 8000 units,
followed by two batches of 6000 cars later in 1991." This car was
never sold in the U.S.
"Styled, according to Nissan, to convey "a delicate feeling of
stylish elegance in everyday life" while satisfying "a zestful
desire for a good time," this cutie's charms puts you, your
passenger, and every onlooker in a good mood. It's a happy little
car, one that timelessly pays tribute to vintage Italian, French
and Japanese microcars. It's remarkably ageless, retaining its
bouncy charisma despite being 32 years old. Best of all, the top
folds into the trunk so that it doesn't detract from the Figaro's
voguish lines-although the side rails and rear roof pillars remain
in place." The amazing thing about this design is that there is
very little wind noise or disturbance in the car while riding with
the top down. Even passengers with long hair hardly notice any
wind.
This car is very well maintained and has very low use. The odometer
reads 11,370 KM (7,065 miles). This is not verifiable, but the car
is in exceptional shape. You would be hard pressed to find a better
Figaro specimen. The steering wheel is on the right side. Automatic
transmission. Air conditioning. Power windows. Sound system
contains radio (not useable in the US as frequencies are
different), CD player (only plays Japanese CDs), but the cassette
player does work. There is a company that makes a US version of
this radio that the buyer could purchase separately.
As far as is known by the seller, everything on this car is in top
working order. It's a blast to drive with its zippy turbo engine.
Also comes with the original manual (in Japanese).
Also has the rare original "Tokyo Nouvelle" plaque. This was a
feature only put on 5,000 Figaros. It states "Then Figaro enables
us to experience the real essence of elegance and sophistication.
It is ideal for the person who enjoys savoring life one day at a
time. Nissan Figaro"
Loaded with charisma and charm, be prepared to talk to total
strangers as they will all want to know about this adorable
beauty!
