This is Ricochet! A SEMA show car in 2003! On the cover of the
Jeg's catalog and a build feature story in the January 2004 edition
of Super Rod magazine. It is a total from the ground-up fully
custom built 1957 Bel-Air Resto-mod! This was a 6 year project
built by Brent DuPont in California. It is an absolutely gorgeous
car and has been in our museum for over 15 years. Everyone who has
seen it just loves it! Some of the high points of the build are a
custom Jim Meyers Racing chassis featuring tubular control arms,
rack and pinion steering, parallel 4-Link rear suspension, QA1
adjustable coil-overs, Ford 9' rear end with a Strange aluminum
center section. It has 13' front and 12' rear Baer cross drilled
power disc brakes. It is powered by a 461CI Big Block Chevrolet
engine with a hydraulic roller cam and an ASM fuel injection
system. It has a professionally built Turbo 400 automatic
transmission with an 11' 2400 Converter. It runs on 17' Boyd
Coddington aluminum wheels and Goodyear tires. It has a totally
custom leather interior with a custom dash and gauges. It has a
custom 1200 watt sound system featuring Sony, Phoenix Gold and
Diamond Audio components. It is a one of a kind example and is a
real show stopper wherever it goes!!!!
