The Triumph TR6 has long been a desirable model for both classic
British collectors and British sports car enthusiasts alike. With
its lightweight chassis, torquey 2.5 litre inline 6 engine and
classic styling, it is easy to see why these classic sports cars
are so loved by their owners. This 1973 Triumph TR6 is an excellent
example of these classic British sports cars having been owned by
the same owner for the last 45 years. During that time, the Triumph
underwent a full frame-off restoration that was completed in 2004.
During the restoration, the TR6 was repainted in the current
Jasmine Yellow exterior that still presents in overall excellent
condition. The Jasmine Yellow exterior is complimented nicely by
Red-pinstripes, factory chrome and stainless, and factory steel
wheels wrapped in new (Installed in 2022) Cooper Cobra Radial GT
tires. The Matador Red vinyl interior is in excellent condition as
well. Powering this beautiful TR6 is its 2498cc 2.5 litre Inline-6
cylinder engine backed by its 4-speed manual transmission with
electronic overdrive. Both the engine and transmission perform just
as they should and deliver a sporty driving experience that these
British sports cars are known for. This TR6 is nicely equipped with
options such as: power front disc brakes, variable speed wipers,
AM/FM radio (in-op), heater/defrost and electric overdrive.
Included in the sale of this Triumph is a set of redline tires
(believed to be the original tires) and binders of pictures and
receipts documenting the restoration. If you are in the market for
a very well restored Triumph TR6 that runs and drives just as
fantastic as it looks, then you will have to take a very close look
at this 1973 Triumph TR6.
