This 1985 GMC C1500 Restomod is a custom truck that feels like they
thought of everything when building this one. That means sleek
paint, a custom A/C interior, an overdrive transmission, an
upgraded suspension, and a powerful fuel-injected stroker V8.
This truck is coming from a restoration that was completed about
2500 miles ago, and so the White Hot paint lives up to its name
with a radiant glow that looks scorching in the sunshine. And you
can tell there was a good amount of time invested in making the
whole truck look custom. The color-matched front bumper, upgraded
grille, and clear headlights really put a distinct and clean face
forward. The profile looks terrific with crisp sheet metal, deleted
badging, and upgraded 20-inch Boss alloys on a sporty lowered
stance. The rear has a smooth rear pan and aerodynamic tonneau bed
cover. Plus, beneath the bed cover is a liner paint so that you can
pull real truck duty when you want. And that's how to see this
whole truck. A restomod like this is built to look great without
shying away from the kind of pickup you'll actually drive and
use.
The white returns inside on the dash and even the steering wheel.
Now it's joined by tasteful black. The bench seat is redone in
velour cloth to look and feel quite nice, and the door panels,
carpeting, headliner, and dash pad coordinate in both darkness and
freshness. We especially like the detail upgrades like the newer
stainless and carbon fiber style trim. There are upgrades for a
more enjoyable classic, like a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo with USB
input, a Memphis Audio speaker system, and cold-blowing air
conditioning. And the driving experience is upgraded with features
like the grippy sports steering wheel on a tilt column and
AutoMeter gauges.
The engine bay has a distinctive appearance with clean inner walls,
polished components, and an overall tidy style. And those bold
orange valve covers boldly announce this is a 383 cubic-inch
stroker V8. That means big block displacement in a small block
weight. Plus, this has been enhanced with aluminum heads, an
Edelbrock intake, and wrapped long tube headers feeding the x-pipe
dual exhaust. Plus, it's topped with Edelbrock electronic fuel
injection system which gives you better power and consistency.
There are also good supporting components like MSD ignition,
upgraded pulleys, dual batteries, and an aluminum radiator with
dual electric fans. It makes for a proper driver's classic, and
this one even loves to hit the highway with its 700R4 four-speed
automatic transmission with overdrive. The suspension is a set up
to confidentially handle the upgraded power with tubular front
A-arms and a four-link rear with Panhard bar and adjustable
coilovers. There's also power steering, power brakes, front discs,
and ZR-rated sports tires.
Complete with service manuals, this is the custom truck that is
fresh, powerful, comfortable, and all-around awesome. So you know
you need to be the one cruising this one all summer long. Call
