Wheels Once again Ford's famous Bronco is back on dealer lots as a
new vehicle, which has created more interest for all of the Broncos
of previous generations. Of course the first generation started it
all with the squared off body, simple exterior lighting, nice
approach angles for off-roading, and 4x4 capabilities. The Bronco
has always been a symbol of a tough vehicle. Built for fun, this
Bronco has been fully restored and has a number of tasteful
upgrades. The vehicle you see here is a 1969 Ford Bronco finished
in blue over a black interior and showing approximately 1,156 miles
on the digital odometer. A frame off restoration was performed
recently, and you can see that the result is stunning. Bright blue
paint ensures that this is a Bronco that stands out from the
others. Also helping with the goal of being different are the
oversized wheels and tires. This Bronco has only a simple canvas
top and no side curtains, so this is a fair weather, fun vehicle.
You'll also notice that the quarter panels are uncut, which as many
know is uncommon. The paint is evenly applied and glossy
throughout, trim and chrome are in beautiful condition, and a cowl
hood has been added to give the 302 V8 a little extra space. The
wheels are Method brand in a 17 size, and are wrapped in Toyo Open
Country M/T tires. The cabin of this Bronco offers a number of
aftermarket components while keeping the vintage first generation
Bronco feel. A pair of bucket seats are the first noticeable change
made, that is if you hadn't noticed the Kicker speakers that are
mounted high on the roll bar. Speaking of the stereo, Kicker
speakers are paired with a Kicker subwoofer, and amp. Rear seat
passengers have a front row seat to any music played on the stereo.
A Holley EFI screen is mounted on the dashboard just below all the
stock switches, and an aftermarket gauge cluster monitors
additional engine vitals. Under the cowl hood is a 302ci V8 mated
to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. The engine bay is neat and
clean with the engine being finished in blue engine paint, and
topped with a chrome air cleaner. A pair of batteries provide
power, while a pair of cutoff switches are easy to spot once the
hood is open. Shiny chrome valve covers, blue spark plug wires, and
the blue distributor cap are other components that catch your eye
in the engine bay. Bilstein shocks are paired with Wild Horses 4x4
springs to add a few inches to the ride height, and keep the ride
smooth as possible. Like the engine bay, the underside is tidy.
With interest for Broncos of all generations at a high, a Bronco
like this one won't be in our showroom long. Built for fun, and
thanks to a full restoration this classic Bronco looks great, with
power to match the good looks. Please call if interested or e-mail
with specific questions. Thanks for looking!
