1960 MGA 1500 ROADSTER, VERY NICE CALIFORNIA/ARIZONA CAR.
Really nice 1960 MGA 1500 convertible, just bought from an elderly owner who bought it from a friend in southern California 5 years ago. His friend had owned the MGA for over 20 years. The only reason the previous owner sold us the car was that he could not drive it any longer due to an operation he recently underwent and he did not want the beautiful car just sitting unused in his garage.
The car was repainted 10-15 years ago. It is still a very presentable paint job but not a show car paint job.
The black interior is nice with only a few minor imperfections. In case the new owner wants to redo the interior there is a brand new beige/light brown leather interior included, complete door panels, leather seat covers and armrest between the seats and carpet, I think there's 20 individual pieces for the carpet, still in boxes.
The previous owner really liked the car and he spent a lot of time and money on upkeep and service. When the syncro's in the transmission showed slight wear he bought a new transmission and had it installed, he recently had the carburetors rebuilt, new radiator installed, everything in the brake system is new, front rotors and calipers, rear brake drums etc. Good tires on original knock off wire wheels.
The original heater has been removed, no need for a heater in Phoenix but it is still with the car and can easily be reinstalled again.
The body is great, the structure is excellent, most chrome is new, the conv top is in great condition, the car runs and drives very well and unless you are looking for a full blown show car this beautiful MGA is ready to go. It even comes with a car cover.
This is not an MGA from the rust belt but a dry southwestern car!
