For Sale: 1979 Chevrolet Pickup in KINGSTON, Washington

Vehicle Description

This 1979 Chevrolet K10 Silverado 4x4 is a fleetside pickup that receives power from a newer GM Goodwrench 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes 15-inch polished aluminum wheels with newer Goodyear tires, a tonneau cover, a suspension lift, and power steering and brakes. Finished in Midnight Black over a newer camel vinyl and cloth interior, this third-generation K10 is now offered with a build sheet, owner's and stereo manuals, and a clear Washington title.

The Midnight Black exterior reportedly has 80 percent of its original paint; paintwork was performed on the upper-right side of the bed and on the passenger-side door. Replacement rear quarter panel patches were installed prior to the seller’s six-year ownership. Exterior features include new bumpers, Hella H4 halogen headlamps, stainless steel mirror caps, diamond-plate bed caps, a flip-and-fold tonneau cover, Bully side steps, a sliding rear window, stainless steel tailgate trim, and a new dual exhaust system. The seller notes that there is corrosion present at the front leading edge on the passenger side of the bed, as well as inside the rocker panels and under and near the battery tray. Two brief walk-around videos have been provided below.

Aluminum 15" x 10" five-slot wheels are wrapped in newer 33" x 12.50" Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac raised-white-letter tires.

The interior of the cab is appointed with new camel vinyl and cloth upholstery on the bench seat, matched to the replacement headliner, carpeting, and dash pad. Amenities include a heater, a Clarion AM/FM/CD radio, map pockets, rubber floor mats, and tinted glass.

Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges that show the voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer reads 65,279 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The newer GM Goodwrench 350ci V8 was serviced in early 2023, according to the seller, and received a new intake, valve covers, battery, and spark plugs. It is fed by dual fuel tanks and features upgrades such as ceramic-coated headers and a black powder-coated finish for the valve covers, air filter housing, and Edelbrock intake. Power is sent to all four wheels via a column-shifted three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

The front end uses locking Warn hubs and the rear end is equipped with a locking differential and 3.73:1 gearing. Steering and braking are power-assisted; the braking system utilizes front discs and rear drums. The suspension received work under the seller’s ownership including the installation of newer leaf springs with a small lift as well as replacement shocks.
