The Triumph motorcycle was a favorite ride by Steve McQueen, James Dean, and Paul Newman. Those are pretty cool American names for a very excellent British motorcycle company.
Black Horse Garage is proud to represent this 1977 Triumph Bonneville T140.
The T140 is the second generation in the Bonneville series, and the Bonneville name is inspired by American racer Johnny Allen’s feats on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah in the 1950s.
This T140 is a well-preserved original Triumph in good mechanical condition and hails from a significant vintage motorcycle collection. It was always properly driven and stored and had less than 7,400 miles.
The “Bonnie” uses a 360-degree, air-cooled parallel twin, 750 cc engine designed and built in England by Triumph Engineering at Meriden near Coventry. It uses a dry sump-type engine oil system and a 5-speed sequential gearbox. Other specs include hydraulic disc brakes, Lucas’s 12-volt electrical system, and a duplex layout frame.
The 1970s Triumph looks complete with the long seat and beautifully painted fuel tank in blue and cream. It is a motorcycle that must be seen and will be a comfortable ride.
