This 1962 galaxie 500 four door was previously owned by an elderly friend of mine who had the car since 1964. In the late 1960's he began racing the car in Panama City, Florida, and has been only a drag car since. Until the last three years or so the car spent most of its life inside an old shop or enclosed trailer, and I was told hasn't ran since the early eighties Decoding it shows it is a town sedan born with a 390 and automatic transmission. There is no engine or transmission, but has a 9" rear end without the chunk in it. I do have a 9" nodular rear, not sure if its out of this car or not,but I will let it go with the car. Also I'm not sure what gear ratio it is but certainly at the lower end. As can be seen in one of the pics there has been coil overs and old school bracing done on the rear. There is a lot of really good body parts , trim etc., and could make a good Mayberry cop car replica. I will be glad to answer any further questions through CC. Thanks, Frank . . .
