SERVICE MANUALONE OF THE BEST-STYLED 50S CARS Handsomely restyled
for 1957, Plymouths high-end Belvedere remains a masterpiece of
Virgil Exners styling leadership at Chrysler Corporation. One of
the most gracefully styled American automobiles of the entire
postwar era, the basic 1957 Belvedere design continued with minor
updates through 1958. Other choice updates for 57 included greater
passenger room with a 3-inch wheelbase extension, plus the comfort
and taut handling of a new torsion-bar front suspension. Just two
body styles were offered, a convertible and sleekly styled 2-door
Hardtop. Five engine choices were offered, ranging from a thrifty
230 cubic-inch inline six-cylinder unit to a 350 cubic-inch V-8.
Built at the Lynch Road, Detroit Plymouth factory, this unrestored
and beautifully preserved 1957 Plymouth Belvedere Hardtop is a
truly fabulous example, featuring a handsome Sand Dune White/Desert
Gold 2-tone exterior finish and a White/Gold 2-tone interior.
History includes a limited roster of prior owners with just over
30,200 miles believed actual. The interior remains original and the
factory build tags remain in their factory-affixed locations on the
front bench seat. Ample power factory rated at 215 horsepower is
delivered by the Belvederes optional 315 cubic-inch V-8 engine,
paired with a PowerFlite pushbutton automatic transmission. Other
desirable features and options include removable rear-fender
skirts, an AM radio with dual rear antennae, right- and left-hand
mirrors, full bright wheel covers, and Whitewall tires.
Accompanying items include an owners manual and a 1957 & 1958
Plymouth factory service manual. Running wonderfully and upgraded
with power brakes, this collector-grade 1957 Plymouth Belvedere is
likely one of the finest and most original examples in existence
and currently available. Call us to experience this striking 1957
Plymouth Belvedere Hardtop directly, obtain full details, and make
this 1950s icon yours today!
