In an effort to appeal to the luxury car market during the troubled
1930s, Cadillac created the Fleetwood line of cars starting with
the 1936-37 year production. This model of car enjoyed an extremely
long run, lasting 62 years as an option in the Cadillac line-up. In
pre-war and post-war car production, this model of car was the
top-of-the-line Cadillac and was Cadillac's factory built limousine
offering.
The 1939 Series 75 (7519) is a non-division-window limousine. A
total of 543 of this model were manufactured in 1939. It features
the original Cadillac V8 engine coupled to the Cadillac 3-speed on
the column manual transmission. The body by Fleetwood sits on a
massive 161" wheelbase and has dual side mounts.
The car runs and drives good and sits on new tires with three new
spares! The car is a two owner Cadillac that is all original. The
car came out of an estate where the car was garaged during its
existence. The paint is original as is the interior. The interior
does show with wear consistent with the age of the car. The
exterior trim and other brightwork show well and all glass is
present. Three windows are reported with cracks.
This is a perfect car for luxurious cruising! The dual side mount
spares give the car a regal look and the low production numbers
from the factory likely ensures there won't be another one like it
in the neighborhood!
This car to be collected from Centennial, Colorado.
