A true time capsule!! This 68 Road Runner was sold by the original
owner in 1972. It was then painted it's retro paint scheme in
1972-73. One day it was noticed by the original owner while sitting
at a restaurant and tracked down. Not knowing it was his original
car at that time, he then bought it back. Unfortunately the
original owner passed away in 74 and the car was parked in a
garage. It was left in that same garage for 49 years until it was
pulled out in the Fall of 2022. The motor and transmission are
original numbers matching to the car. The motor was pulled out &
overhauled since it hadn't been started in 49 years. Heads were
gone over with bronze guides & a Mopar purple cam shaft was added.
The mechanical restoration was done by a Mopar expert. The fresh
383 drives the 727, which turns the Mopar 8 3/4 sure grip rear end
with 355 gears. The odometer shows about 56K miles to the car. The
paint job was done in 1973 and is mostly original. The paint
presents very well but does have 49 years of storage nicks &
scratches. Pictures do not do this car justice. This one of a kind
gem will stick out in any crowd!! Absolute Must See, Beautiful
