- The extremely sharp 1966 Ford Thunderbird Convertible is a rare
ride with the original Q Code 428 V8. This motor came in only 700
of the Thunderbird Convertibles for model year 1966!
The engine was fully serviced at 97,000 miles prior to current
ownership, and the carburetor was also refreshed at this time. With
the current ownership by classic car enthusiasts, the car purrs
along very nicely and all components from drivetrain to electrical
system work perfectly. The previous owners were also elderly car
enthusiasts who used it to cruise and gently enjoy.
The only departure from original in this car is the Thunderbird's
paint was also redone from the factory Ford red, changed to a Candy
Apple Red to give it new life. This provides a much more vibrant
paint and shows in near perfect condition. The interior presents as
original leather and is in good condition. With the addition of the
roadster Tonneau Cover, this car is a sight to behold!
