1965 Oldsmobile JetStar 88 Convertible, Very Rare, only 2879 Jetstars were made. Completely restyled for 1965 with more rounded fenders and 1/4s. 1964's squared-off roofline HT carried over, but this is a "convertible", (other 88-series two-door coupes got semi-fastback rooflines). Also new was the three-speed Turbo Hydramatic transmission, which was considered a vast improvement over the previous three-speed Roto Hydra-matic, whose basic design dated back to the original Hydra-matic introduced in 1940. Power windows, remote adjustable driver side mirror, beautiful newer white interior. Very cool split taillights (4) One in the bumper and one in the truck deck lid. Aftermarket AC with Rectangular under the dash vent assembly with rectangular vents in the middle and round vents on the ends of the dash. Rear trailing arms and a sway bar in the back. Heavy duty front suspension. Very nice Target Red Basecoat clearcoat professional paint job. Excellent body fit lines and gaps. Beautiful chrome bumpers/trim/emblems. Stunning contrasting white interior in very good condition. Nice convertible top. Split bench front seat. Newer front and rear door panels. The carpeting looks great. The dash and gauge clusters are immaculate. Jetstar 88 emblem on the glove box part of the dash. The Jetstar 88 received the Starfire 330-cid V-8 at 260 hp and about 290 foot pounds of rear torque. 3 speed Turbo Hydramatic transmission, which was considered a vast improvement over the previous three-speed Roto Hydra-matic, whose basic design dated back to the original Hydra-matic introduced in 1940. Factory steel wheels with correct hubcaps. Newer thin white wall tires. Car looks and runs and drives just like it should, everything works.
