Selling at the Mecum Car Auction Sunday July 9th, 2023 in Kissimmee Florida. Lot # U124. This 1971 Challenger R/T is an original survivor with 55,000 miles. It spent nearly 40 years in Elmer's Auto & Toy Museum located in Fountain City Wisconsin. Elmer amassed a collection of over 100 cars (most of them purchased in the '70's & 80"s), over 700 pedal cars and thousands of vintage toys. After Elmer passed, the family continued to run the museum for 3 years. It was closed in 2022 and Mecum auctioned off the contents. Elmer's old Challenger is powered by its matching number 383 ci Magnum V8 engine and equipped with several options including factory air conditioning. The paint, top, interior and chrome are original. The color is rare Citron Yella.
