The first-generation of Dodge 'Ram' trucks were introduced in 1981
and produced through the 1993 model year. The next generation of
Ram models introduced a whole new exterior package with a 'big-rig'
front fascia and a variety of paint schemes. This Ram 1500 Laramie
SLT standard cab is 2WD with a full size bed. The body was
professionally refinished in Dark Blue/Silver that is in excellent
condition and the bed has a full liner. All chrome is in very good
condition and 17" factory Ram chrome wheels mount Pathfinder
radials. The original grey cloth interior is in very good condition
- seat upholstery w/center jump-seat, dashboard, headliner and door
panels have all been well maintained. The dash contains a full
factory gauge package and convenience options include cold A/C,
tinted power windows, Kenwood AM/FM/CD sound system, power locks
and cruise. There is a roomy storage area behind the passenger seat
and the rear cab window is fitted with slider.
Horsepower is furnished by a Chrysler Magnum 5.9L V8 (Z-code) that
is based on the 'LA Series' engine. These motors are virtually
indestructible and this one is said has never required a rebuild.
Factory equipped with Mopar's throttle body EFI, output is rated at
230bhp with 325lb/ft of torque. A 3-speed automatic transmission is
mated to the factory RWD differential. The underside of the Dodge
is very clean. A solid chassis is fitted with power steering and
power assisted disc/drum brakes. Front suspension is coil springs
w/sway bar and leaf springs w/staggered shocks are used in the
rear. This Dodge Ram 1500 is ready for a new owner who will
appreciate the classic looks and durability of the Dodge Ram. ALL
