Vehicle Description
Did you miss your opportunity at one of the best modern classic
Camaros ever? Here's your second chance. This 2002 Chevrolet Camaro
SS 35th Anniversary Edition is the ultimate car of its generation.
After all, it's the final year for the 4th gen; this is the
small-batch high-performance version; and it has the right look of
a low-mileage car. You'll even spot a few nice power upgrades that
make this T-top six-speed collectible a terrific speed machine.
The factory-correct Bright Red paint also shows all the right signs
of being the factory application. It is bright, clean, and
complete, and so it does a terrific job of showing off the sleek
sheet metal. And it's this well-respected presentation that helps
us believe that the low odometer reflects the full mileage. While
it has a shine that can attract attention from across a show field,
when people are drawn in closer, they get to see the exclusive
graphics package that turns the iconic dual sport stripes into
checked flags. It not only highlights sporty elements like the
functional hood scoop and special SS rear spoiler, but it also just
seems like a fitting tribute to a car that's both a 35th
Anniversary Edition and the last year for these 4th gen speed
machines. As an SLP-built Super Sport, there are some nice factory
upgrades like the special SS badging, unique front panel, and
larger 17-inch alloys. Plus, the black background headlights and
quad tips on the center exhaust signal an upgraded attitude (you'll
see more of that under the hood.)
The interior has a special 35th Anniversary SS packaging that
includes embroidered headrests and a dash plaque. Plus, there's a
preserved feeling on the fundamentals, like the two-tone leather
upholstery, carpeting, door panels, and dash pad. The result is a
special car that you'll happily show off. But more than just
preserved, this is a range-topping Camaro loaded with all the best
features. It includes a power driver's seat, power windows, power
locks, keyless entry/alarm, dual airbags, cruise control, cup
holder center console, tilt wheel, power mirrors, and a 500-watt
Monsoon AM/FM/CD stereo. The T-tops practically define this
generation Camaro, and the air conditioning is blowing nice and
cold. So we know you're just picturing putting more miles on the
low odometer as you open this one up and hit the road.
What makes the SS such a collectable is that it featured the
highest horsepower Camaro from GM. This one takes that spirit and
upgrades it with some terrific investments. The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 is
enhanced with a FAST fuel injection intake, FAST throttle body,
SLP's upgraded air intake, MSD coil packs, and headers feeding into
a low-restriction exhaust. It makes for a full package with a
wicked rumble and serious power. And you take control of it all
with the Hurst short-throw shifter on the six-speed manual
transmission. And speaking of control, there are also four-wheel
disc brakes w/ABS, power steering, sway bars front & rear, and
SLP's suspension upgrades.
A true collectible like this needs all the right paperwork. That's
why the sale includes the original window sticker (both Chevrolet
and SLP), the owner's manual packet, and maintenance records. It
also comes with 3 bins full of what seems to be most of the stock
parts that came off this car if you ever wanted to put it back to
original. You know how significant this car is, and you also know
you may never find one again that's the right mix of preserved and
upgraded. Call today!!!
