Vehicle Description
1967 Ford Thunderbird The following is a statement from the
previous owner who owned the car for 29 years. This Thunderbird was
purchase new by Boyd N Husted in Emporium, PA on 12/05/1966 from
the Joseph Fragale dealership. I believe that he was a Navy chief
at the time, and he drove it for several years before giving it to
his nephew to drive in college. It was then brought by John Dreis,
of 5900 View Ln., Edina, MN, who drove it in Arizona for a winter
season, then sold it to us in 1993. It had just under 59,000 miles
on it at the time of our purchase. We joined the Thunderbird
Midwest Club and showed it and toured with-it for many years. We
did trips to national meets in Indianapolis, Minneapolis, MO and
Branson over the years. In December of 2006, at around 73,500
miles, I had a fair amount of blow by, and so had the engine
rebuilt. When it was taken apart, scoring was found on the bottom
sides of the cylinder walls. At the same time, I had automatic
transmission rebuilt and added a new carburetor. I had the entire
engine bay detailed with the engine and transmission were out. I
also had new tires put on in September of 2013, as the originals
were becoming checked. Mostly all original inside and out. The body
is in pristine condition, paint, chrome, vinyl top, it's all A1.
Check out the interior of the T-Bird with suicide doors, it's close
to perfect! Turnkey car meaning everything is operational including
the power windows, power antenna, hideaway headlights, radio, heat
and defrost, horn, wipers, lights, etc. etc. One of the features on
the 67 T-Bird which make it super cool is the sequential turn
signal lights and the tilt away steering column. Drives as good as
it looks ....the exhaust system was beyond questionable so we
replaced it in its entirety. She's a beauty.
