Beautiful car, last owner for over fifty years, excellent body with new black paint, excellent interior with new red leather, new tan canvas top and tonneau, new side curtains, mostly new chrome.
Wire wheels, excellent drive train...our tests, 155 psi compression in every cylinder, 55-65 psi oil pressure when hot, no smoke cold or hot (these test results aren`t any different from when the car left the factory nearly 70 years ago), excellent gearbox, brakes work well, original cloth covered wiring harness is incredibly well preserved, spin on oil filter.
Chassis looks to be in excellent condition as are the wood body frame pieces, floors, metal body mounts, jacking points, and everything else I can see underneath.
Lively performance, excellent ride, handling, and braking, all original gauges work, dash is spotless and original, all it really needs (in my opinion) is a pair of Brooklands racing screens adding to the delight of driving it with the windshield folded down.
TFs are among the most versatile older British sports cars...easy to service, plentiful supply of new and used parts, gorgeous lines (enhanced, in this case, by the lovely black and red color combination, new chrome, and wire wheels), soft ride, precise steering, lovely shifting, and the spirited high revving XPAG engine.
In our showroom and ready for seasonal enjoyment.
