The Fiat 600 Nueva “New” was introduced in 1967 as the second iteration of the iconic Fiat 600—Fiats miniature city/family car that was produced from 1955 to 1969. With over 2.5 million cars sold, the car came in three variations, a hard-top, a soft-top and a 6-seater micro-van known as the Multipla. With the model's wild success, Fiat decided to deviate from their standard, mass-production norm of the 500/600 line and sent about 200 cars to legendary Italian designer, Ghia. From 1958 to 1962, Ghia reimagined the 600 in a trim known as “Jolly”—an open air, 4-seat cruiser. The Jolly quickly became the must have car for island hoppers across the Mediterranean and it is believed that only about 100 of the Ghia built cars are still around today.
Finished in a beautiful Pastel Blue, our 1961 Fiat 600 Nueva was recently imported into the States after having been meticulously restored and converted to Jolly specification in Italy.
