Vehicle Description
A great family car, the 1956 Ford Ranch Wagon became very desirable
as it was a lower priced, well affordable wagon. Only 48,348 of
these models were produced for that year. Flash forward to today,
and the wagons still remain very desirable and are highly sought
after. The entire family can take a cruise and enjoy car shows.
There is plenty of room for everyone! This wagon is real find! It
was orphaned in a junkyard, but the body was in very good
condition. A frame-off restoration was completed, and a rotisserie
was used for the body work. Careful attention was given to make
this an excellent quality build. The all-steel body exhibits
excellent Diamond Blue and Colonial white paint that was a factory
color combination for that year. The Customline trim down the sides
is very attractive makes the two-toned colors stand out. All
exterior chrome and stainless present in very good condition. The
hood has the Ford bird that was used back in the day. Body
modifications are one piece rear side windows, shaved door handles,
and a custom rear bumper made from a 1959 Ford front bumper. The
door vents were removed for a smooth look. The interior is gorgeous
and is all-leather with white seats and blue seat inserts. This
color combination matches the exterior. Front seat has lumbar
support for added comfort. Seat belts with a shoulder harness were
installed for safety. Dash is painted blue, and it matches the 1958
Edsel steering column with a Teletouch steering wheel. The Haneline
gauges are in new condition. The door panels are two-toned light
blue and dark blue. The colors are separated with Customline trim
that matches the exterior. The radio is custom with the retro look.
The back bed (with seats folded down) and rear door interior have a
very nice medium blue carpet. Engine is a Lincoln 460 CID/365 HP
with 10.5/1 compression and 500 pounds of torque. It is paired with
the Lincoln C6 automatic transmission. The radiator is aluminum.
Options include power windows, power steering, 4-wheel disc brakes,
cruise control, Mark IV air conditioning, and a Custom Autosound
stereo with a 10 CD disc changer. Underneath the car, are heavy
duty front coil springs, front and rear sway bars, Ride Tech shock
absorbers, and Flowmaster mufflers with 2 inch exhaust. The rear
axle is a 9 inch Ford with 3:31 gear ratio and limited slip
differential. Layers of heat shield and sound proofing were added
for a quiet ride. This wagon is a real head turner. It will display
beautifully at car shows and you will see crowds gathering around
to take a look. Car is in Connecticut and is available for viewing
by appointment only.
