1992 LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90 – 2.5 TDI
The Land Rover Defender is an iconic British developed off-road vehicle from the 1980s original Land Rover series which was launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show in April 1948. Following the 1989 introduction of the Land Rover Discovery, the term 'Land Rover' became the name of a broader marque. In 1990, Land Rover renamed the 90 and 110 as Defender 90 and Defender 110 respectively.
The vehicle, a British equivalent of the Second World War derived (Willys) Jeep, gained a worldwide reputation for ruggedness and versatility. With its squared body appearance and short wheelbase, the Defender 90 was clearly made as a hard-working vehicle. Featuring round headlights, flat front fascia, and a tiny overhang, the Defender 90 looked ready to conquer remote places on Earth.
This 1992 Land Rover Defender 90 is a left-hand-drive example that was mechanically and cosmetically frame-off refurbished in Italy in 2018 with 247,690 miles; including engine, transmission, brake system, suspension, improved transfer case and center differential, and variable geometry turbocharge. Other accessories include complete soundproofing, new sound system with subwoofer, amplifier, 6 speakers, navigation system with touch screen and Bluetooth, double USB port with voltmeter, alloy Fondmetal wheels, customized upholstery in leather. This Defender also features LED lights on the instrument panel, headlights, rear, and external courtesy lights on the side platforms. It is finished in black and is powered by a 2.5-liter 200Tdi turbodiesel inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
