Cadillac has always been an icon of luxury in the automotive
industry. No matter what model you are looking at, they were always
loaded with options that were far beyond what was offered in your
standard passenger car. In 1976, the flagship sedan for Cadillac
was the Fleetwood Brougham. However, few people were aware of the
trim package offered on the Fleetwood Brougham that was even more
luxurious; the Talisman package. The Talisman package was a $1,800
luxury package offered on the Fleetwood Brougham that included an
unique vinyl roof pattern, Talisman emblems, Medici velour
interior, 6-way power adjustable front captains seats with power
recline on the passenger side, center console with a writing
tablet, special lighting and extra thick carpeting. With this level
of luxury came a hefty price with an original MSRP of $14,970 in
1976. Due to this price, very few Talisman's were built. Of the
24,500 Cadillac Fleetwood Broughams built in 1976, only 1200 of
those had the Talisman package. This 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood
Talisman is an excellent, 3-owner example of the top-of-the-line
sedan offered by Cadillac in 1976 with just over 58,000 actual
miles. The factory-correct Blue Crystal Firemist exterior is in
very nice condition with only minor defects and is complimented
nicely by its White padded elk grain vinyl top, Talisman emblems,
and white wall tires. The original Blue Medici Velour interior is
in excellent condition for the age with only minor wear present.
Powering this rare piece of Cadillac history is its 500 cubic inch
V8 backed by its Turbo Hydramatic 400 3-speed automatic
transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they
