Vehicle Description
STK 3460 2000 Toyota 4Runner Limited
The Toyota 4-Runner is a mid-sized SUV that was first produced in
1984 and has been one of Toyota's best selling vehicles. The
4-Runner was originally based on the Hilux pickup chassis, but had
the spirit of the legendary 'J-series' Gen1 Land Cruiser, an agile
4-wheel drive vehicle that was virtually best-in-class against all
off-road competition. The current 4-Runner is much more refined and
comfortable, but just as durable. The Gen3 model was produced from
1995 through 2002 and shared drivetrain components from the Tacoma
pickup and frame from the rugged Gen2 (J90) Land Cruiser. In so
doing, the Gen3 4-Runner differentiated itself from competitors by
retaining its off-road character.
This 2000 4-Runner Limited is basically stock with numerous
off-road upgrades and exterior accents. The Silver Metallic finish
is in good condition and the hood has been adorned with a stunning
airbrushed image, aka Captain America. Factory side steps make
entry/exit easy and a premium GOBI Ranger Roof Rack (w/camping
tent) has been installed. The front end has been upgraded with an
ARB bull bar, fog lights and electric winch w/tow hooks. The
undercarriage is protected by a front skid plate and handsome
Method alloy wheels mount BFGoodrich Radial Mud-Terrain tires. The
factory interior is in overall good condition. Tan leather seats
show only normal wear and the dash and headliner are in good
condition. Features include cold A/C, power tinted windows,
sunroof, full instrumentation, power driver seat, dual front
airbags, cruise, tilt wheel, keyless entry and factory
AM/FM/CD/Cassette stereo system.
The 4-Runner is powered by Toyota's indestructible 3.4L DOHC V6
that produces 186bhp and 217lb/ft of torque in 4-Runner
configuration. Features include a cast iron block, 24-valve
aluminum heads, aluminum intake and sequential multi-port fuel
injection. Camshafts are belt driven and the motor was designed as
a 'non-interference' engine. A 4-speed automatic transmission is
linked to the 4-WD transfer case with 2H/4H/4L and automatic front
hubs. The chassis is fitted with rack and pinion power steering
(new) and power disc/drum brakes w/ABS and front suspension is coil
springs w/sway bar. The rear suspension is coil springs w/trailing
arms and a panhard bar. Records furnished with the car document
regular maintenance including a recent major tune-up, ignition
wires, fuel filter, water pump and power steering pump. This hardy
Toyota 4-Runner will not spend much time here - it longs for the
off-road. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
