The Alfa 1900 marks a real industrial revolution, determining a clear departure from the more opulent pre-war models, but without giving up on glamour, thanks to the proposals of the great coachbuilders who declined it in numerous versions. The 1900 made its debut at the Turin Motor Show in 1950 and immediately afterwards the creation of the first specimens began, still in semi-artisanal form, even if mass production was already planned.
The 1900 is the first Alfa car equipped with a mass-produced body integrated directly into the chassis and, above all, the first car in which the House introduces the 4-cylinder twin-cam engine for the first time, which will then characterize subsequent evolutions. The elegant aesthetics and the three volumes of space make it one of the family sedans of that era most appreciated by Italians.
But the sales success is above all due to the brand's sporting reputation. The famous slogan "The family car that wins races" is just a preview of the new versions that will soon land on the market.
