Vehicle Description
1979 Lincoln Mark V DGC6374 VIN 9Y89S746334. This is one family
owned Lincoln Continental Mark V. The dad bought it new and lived
in Arizona. When he died, his son who lived here in Burlington had
it shipped up here. The son decided to move to Arizona, and I
bought it from him. The son sold it to me as a 37,000 original
miles car. The paint and interior look like it may be 37,000 miles
but I believe it's probably 137,000 miles. It is a very clean,
straight, no rust car. These are the last of the big American
classic cars as we know them. 400 cu in. engine. Automatic
transmission. Power steering. Four-wheel power disc breaks. Air
conditioning. Power windows. AM/FM radio with 8 track tape player
with 3 8 track tapes included. I drove it down the road to check
things out. At first the cruise control didn't want to work but
after playing with it started working. The gas gauge does not work.
I went to the fuel station and only put 3 gallons in to fill it up.
When we have it serviced and safety check will check on these items
to see if we can get them working. Michelin radial tires. The body
is really straight and the paint is very nice. Very minor blemishes
showing. The interior is in excellent condition. The engine
compartment is very clean. The trunk is clean. We put it up on the
rack and took photos and video of the underside. It's solid but has
surface rust in places. Nothing major, it's never been restored.
You'll like driving it. This car is a luxury car. Another thing I
like about this car is the vinyl roof looks just like a convertible
top. They really did a great job. Cond # 2.
