We always love a classic with a good story, and so when you find out that this 1969 Volkswagen Beetle has been with the same family for over a half-century, it makes for an irresistible tale. Plus, there was a new firewall, fan shroud, muffler, and tailpipes. It means this hardy motor fires up readily. And any additional updating or upgrading is quite easy and affordable - that's part of the fun of VW ownership. It shifts smoothly thanks to a new clutch and cable for the four-speed manual transmission, and it drives with confidence thanks to new brakes.
