about the build!
This 1963 Chevrolet C10 custom short bed truck was restored and
customized by Justin Nichols and his team on the TV show
"Wrench'd." Under the hood is a fuel-injected 5.3-liter LS V8
engine that is paired with a GM 4L80E automatic transmission. There
is an hour-long episode on this truck, so you can see it going
through the build process from start to end. The customizations
begin at the grille and hood and extend all the way back to the
tail lights. The truck was shortened by 2 inches during the
restoration. Exhaust system consists of custom long-tube headers, a
3-inch stainless exhaust and Flowmaster 40-Series mufflers. A Chevy
12-bolt rear with 3.90:1 gears turn the 31-spline axles, which are
suspended in place by a custom 4-link and Accuair smart air
suspension with multiple levels of air ride options. Brake system
includes a power dual master cylinder and vented discs. The
air-ride system is concealed under the highly detailed,
dark-stained wood truck bed in keeping with the classic look of the
truck. The engine compartment was dressed up in a beautiful custom
cover and accented by matching inner fenders. Other features
include modern headlights, Bluetooth AM/FM radio with subwoofer,
upgraded speakers, air conditioning and an Ididit tilt steering
column paired with a wood steering wheel. The truck was revealed at
SEMA and has been featured in Classic Trucks magazine.
