This 1987 Dodge RamCharger LE is an extremely nice, rust free, and
mostly original Ramcharger that spent its life in California. This
is the LE edition which means it was highly optioned from the
factory. It is a really nice and well preserved truck that has a
great color combination and look. The body is in excellent original
condition and it is very straight and clean. It was professionally
repainted years ago because of clearcoat peeling in its original
colors of Charcoal Pearl Coat and Radiant Silver Poly. The paint
still looks excellent with only normal wear and tear from driving
over the years. All of the chrome and trim is also in excellent
condition. The underside is super clean as you would expect from a
California vehicle. We found no rust issues with the
Ramcharger.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The front seats appear
to have been recovered. The rear seat. headliner and carpet are
still in great original condition. The dash and door panels are
also very nice. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn
signals are all working. The gauges all work. The power windows
work but the power locks are not working. The heat, wipers, and
horn work. This vehicle has AC but it is not blowing cold.
Mechanically this truck is great!! The engine is the original 5.9 L
360 V8 that runs strong and smooth with no issues that we could
find. It is totally stock. The transmission is the 727 Automatic
that shifts nice and it is mated to the np 208 transfer case. The
4WD works like it should. It has a Chrysler 9.25 rear axle with
3.54 gears and a Dana 44 front axle with 3.54 gears. This is all
sitting on a cool set fo factory turbine wheels with a nearly new
set of 32 Inch Mud Terrain tires.
