This is the car everyone wants. A blue Chevelle SS convertible with
a big block, 4-speed and a/c! It's a great looker ready for local
car shows. I would enjoy it most heading down the road shifting
gears.
EXTERIOR: The body is really straight and fits square. No bubbles
or damage, smooth down to the bottom. The Lemans Blue metallic is
laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished like glass. Sharp
looking SS stripes. The chrome, trim, and emblems have been
replaced. SS wheels look good, not new. The power white top looks
like new. Jambs are slick, weatherstrips were replaced. Windshield
was replaced.
INTERIOR: All the parchment pearl upholstery was replaced: seats,
headrests, door panels and top boot. The carpet looks new. Dash pad
has some mild cracks, new SS wheel. It also has the factory
tachometer and gauges. Upgraded Vintage Air electric slide heater
controls. It also has a retro stereo. All the interior lights work.
Original seat belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is a 1969 396 motor rebuilt as a 375
horsepower. It has the rectangular port heads, matched GM aluminum
intake and a dual feed Holley carb. Upgraded modern heat and AC
system and also features power steering and power breaks
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean all metal trunk with a nice spatter
finish. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted really nice.
Weatherstrip and well liner have been replaced.
UNDERSIDE: It has the F41 suspension which includes front and rear
sway bars, boxed rear control arms. The front end looks like the
steering and suspension have all been rebuilt. Shocks have been
replaced at all 4 corners. New dual exhaust with Flowmaster
mufflers. Disc brakes in front, e-brake is hooked up. Brake lines
and hoses have been replaced. The fuel system is not brand new but
has been replaced. Oil pan has some dents but it is clean Chevy
Orange. Correct M-20 4-speed. 12 bolt rear end. Floors appear to be
very clean metal painted semi-gloss black.
INSPECTION: Our shop inspected it and spent $3,806 on service. New
starter, rebuilt carb, replaced shift linkage, repaired turn
signals and top switch, replaced e-brake cables, aligned body
panels and replaced misc trim.
Very desirable! Not perfect but a very good car at a very nice
price!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
