Vehicle Description
Nostalgia is a funny thing. It makes us fond for a bygone era, and
often altering the history slightly so that it really only makes us
see the positive even more. So when we see that this 1957 Ford
Custom 300 has details like an Ultraleather interior, a Bluetooth
stereo, and motor detail upgrades to a better cruiser, we know this
is pure rolling nostalgia.
The two-tone Starmist Blue and Dresden Blue combination is perfect
for the 1950s and makes the Ford look long and lean. The two colors
are tastefully intertwined where it catches your eye with the way
the darker blue is on the roof, and the full-length trim provides
another dividing line for the colors. In fact, speaking of the
trim, this is quite special where the golden insert and sharply
creasing dip make the 1957 Ford one of the most distinctive cars of
its day (oh yes, even more than the '57 Bel Air!) And so we kind of
like the four-door sedan body the best just because of how cool
this flowing trim design looks when it's broken up in two places
when you open up both side doors. More than just the colors and
trim, the wraparound chrome bumpers, T-Bird style tail lights,
turbine-style wheel covers, and distinct single-year headlight
design are all part of a true classic cruiser appearance that we
love. And so this wants to be the kind of classic you drive, and so
the overall finish has the right look of a car that's easy to hit
the road on a whim. And the wide whitewalls, fender skirts, and
polished exhaust tips are pure boulevard machine cool.
The consignor has said that he put about $7k worth of investments
in this sedan in about the last five years, and one of the most
noticeable places is the interior. The upholstery doesn't look out
of place, but the extra clean style and supple Ultraleather make
this especially inviting. And so the level that everyone can get
comfortable in this classic is why you can really see why we love
this for being a true cruiser. Plush carpeting, detailed door
panels, and a smooth dash are all part of a rewarding classic
experience They even have the little things, like the working dome
light, a clean Ford family crest at the center of the steering
wheel, and the stock AM radio for a display. But the better cruiser
attitude still comes through with well-placed upgrades, like the
newer speedometer and an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB and Bluetooth for
the best in driving music.
The sporty forward-tilt hood reveals the fresh red paint of the 272
cubic-inch V8. These are hardy torque-filled powerhouses on their
own, and part of the investments in this sedan was to make sure
that the motor was the backbone of a great cruiser attitude. So you
also have upgrades like a large aluminum radiator to help keep this
running cooler, and a newer dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers
to give you a dignified V8 tune. The automatic transmission was
even rebuilt earlier this year. Even with all these additions, this
Ford wants you to feel the road is the right way that only a true
classic can. It's about making sure it's a strong driver that never
loses its proper 1950s vibe.
This likes to be a distinct classic, and that also includes the
extras that come with the sale. You have terrific paperwork like
the original dealer invoice, service manuals, and maintenance
records. Plus, there are also nice extras like spare components and
period-correct luggage you can use for a car show display. All of
this adds up to a car that is very vintage with the right additions
to make it better than it was back in the day. This 1957 Ford is
pure nostalgia in the best ways. Call today!!!
