For Sale: 1976 Jeep Cherokee in Holland , Michigan

This 1976 Jeep Cherokee S is a really cool Jeep that spent its life
in the Pacific NW. It is a very cool build by the last owner. It is
not a frame off restored vehicle, but it has been mechanically
restored and the interior was also redone. The process began with a
clean and original lower mileage Jeep. The body on this rig is
clean and straight. The paint is mostly original, but he had the
lower 8 inches of rocker repainted because of stone chips from over
the years. The paint shows really well with nice patina and the
color is Sand Tan. It still has all of the original striping that
is in great condition. The chrome and stainless is original and
still really nice. The underside is very solid and clean and it
appears to have been undercoated when new and some of the
undercoating is peeling off.
The interior is really nice. It has newer carpet with sound
deadening added (Dynamat), new seat upholstery, new headliner, and
the door panels redone and customized. The headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work.
It has a power rear window which works well. The heat and
windshield wipers work but the horn is not working. It is a nice
original interior.
Mechanically this Jeep is top notch and it recently had a lot of
work done to it. The engine is an AMC 5.9L 360 V8 that was totally
rebuilt by the last owner. We did not receive the receipts but is
pretty clear the engine was rebuilt by looking at it and also by
how it runs. It runs strong and smooth with no issues or red flags
that we could find. Everything on the engine is new or rebuilt. It
has an Edelbrock aluminum intake and an Edelbrock AVS 2 4 Barrel
Carb. They added a Flame Thrower electronic ignition system as
well. The exhaust system was also replaced when the engine was
rebuilt. It has a Turbo 400 Automatic transmission that shifts nice
and this was also rebuilt when the engine was. It is mated to the
Borg Warner Quadra-Trac transfer case that was converted to part
time 4WD. The 4WD works like it should. It has Dana 44 Axles on the
front and rear with 3.31 gears. This Cherokee also has power
steering and power front disc brakes. This is all sitting and set
of vintage aluminum wheels with nearly new BFG All Terrain
tires.
These Jeeps are getting hard to find and we don't see too many
Cherokees come up for sale. We drive what we sell so that we can
give you a first hand and accurate report on how the vehicle runs
and drives. Our pictures are never touched up or photoshopped. What
you see is an accurate representation of the vehicle. We take
consistent pictures and show you everything so you can get a true
representation of the vehicle.
